Alacia Armstrong
Founder & CEO
Alacia combines her background as a scientist with the perspective of an anthropologist to bring a unique lens to science communication and tell compelling scientific stories. She holds dual MSc degrees in Biotechnology and Technology Management, which help her understand complex scientific topics and the researchers behind them. This enables her to translate complexity into engaging and accessible narratives. As a published poet, she brings additional storytelling expertise to her scientific communication work.
Mike Jacobs-Brits
Creative Lead
As Creative Lead at Wonder & Co, Mike Jacobs-Brits works across brand development, digital strategy, and end-to-end project delivery. He also owns a self-founded ceramic studio in Cape Town, which informs his grounded, hands-on approach to creative work. With a background in strategy and training, Mike brings a systems-thinking lens to storytelling. He helps organisations translate complex ideas into communication that is clear, structured, and purposeful.
Mpho Ndaba
Strategic Communications
Mpho Ndaba is a strategic communications and branding specialist with experience across civil society and higher education in South Africa. At Wonder & Co, he focuses on research communication, media engagement, and content production. He works closely with research teams to shape messaging, manage outreach, and craft compelling communication products. He holds an MPhil in Environmental Humanities (University of Cape Town), a master’s degree in Sociology (University of the Witwatersrand), and an MPhil in Business Management with a focus on Change Leadership (Gordon Institute of Business Science).

Hanré Jacobs-Brits supports creative development at Wonder & Co through design and ideation. His work brings concepts to life with thoughtful visuals, cohesive design systems, and a collaborative approach to storytelling.
Fern Waddilove
Graphic Design
Fern is a multidisciplinary designer with a background in interior design and a passion for visual storytelling. At Wonder & Co, she supports visual communications, brand design, and the development of marketing materials. Her work spans digital and print design, illustration, product development, and emerging web tools.
Thabo Ndlovu
Tech Lead
Thabo Ndlovu is a senior software developer who leads all things tech at Wonder & Co. From building websites to supporting product development and solving complex challenges, he brings clarity, structure, and calm to every project. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of digital systems, Thabo helps creative ideas come to life through thoughtful, collaborative execution. Outside of work, he finds quiet creative expression through drawing.
